Welcome
This simple website is primarily to display the current results of my genealogical research but to make it less boring I have also put up some pictures of our narrowboat Quidditch. As time goes by I will add family photographs and pictures of the inland waterways that the boat visits.
Returning to genealogical subjects, there are currently two pages – selectable from the top menu – one a straightforward presentation of the entire family tree and the other a fascinating analysis of the same tree produced by a remarkble piece of Software called Gedscape – just click on the various heading on the Main Menu page to find out all sorts of information you didn’t know (and probably are not sure you needed to). Enjoy.
Finally, if you have a longer term interest in the family profiles presented in the trees, I encourage you to register with the site as that should inform you by email each time I post an update.
Good hunting….

Hello Constance
Thanks for making contact.
Do you have a tree I could look at?

Hi Will, my brother, Ian, is compiling our genealogy tree, and I’ve found a few photos of my grandfather (Alfred).
I can email you a copy if you wish. My brother’s email is ianpeternelson@gmail.com
Alfred Percy Nelson > Dennis John Nelson > Dennis Edward Nelson (me) > Stuart Hamilton Nelson
regards, Dennis
Hey Cousin!
Good to hear from a cousin even if they are distant (we are 6th cousins 2 times removed) and share 8th great grandparents George and Francis (nee Eviatt) Collison who were married in Whissonsett, Norfolk in 1703.
I can send you a PDF of all of the descendents of George and Frances. I could alo send you a gedcom of the same which will enable you to import all the details into any software you are using. As you contacted me from my website you will already have seen how far back that side of the family goes.
I too am on My Heritage so I will swap information that way too with you if I can find your tree.
Meanwhile I would be interested to know more about you all and your families; are you married; have children etc?
Cheers Will
I am the second son of the late Dennis John Nelson, son of Alfred Percy Nelson and have started building my family tree currently posted as ‘nelsoncathcart’ on myHeritage.com consisting of 222 people at present. I have more information to post yet about my cousins when I confirm dates and places etc! My brother Dennis Edward Nelson, who is the eldest son, is actively involved in the research also, and we are striving to locate details of Cathcart, Tubby and Gooch.
Hello Ian
I have just replied in some detail to a post sent by your brother Dennis. No doubt he will fill you in but meanwhile sufficie it to say that we are 6th cousins twice removed.
Cheers
Will
